Old Town

This neighborhood of Key West features charming historic streets lined with wooden unique homes and cottages built by early shipbuilders. Most of the tourist attractions, restaurants and nightlife are found in this part of Key West. The convenient location makes this neighborhood very desirable for primary residences or vacation homes. There are a few sub-neighborhoods of Old Town Key West.

Truman Annex

Truman Annex is an Old Town gated neighborhood with manicured, picturesque landscape and houses designed to mirror the historic Key West architecture. It was once an Army base in the mid-1800’s and is named after President Harry Truman who spent his winters in this neighborhood at the Winter White House. Many residents desire the Truman Annex part of Old Town due to the available transient license, allowing them to rent their property on a weekly basis.

This charming neighborhood is a residential extension of the Historic Seaport.
